This study is actively recruiting participants!

Purpose: The KEY research study is examining the efficacy of 2 different talk therapies (Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy, IPSRT; and Healthy Lifestyles Therapy, HL) in delaying or preventing the onset of bipolar disorder in youth at particularly high risk.

Who can participate:

  • Adolescents between 12 and 18 years old who have
  • A parent with bipolar disorder 

What the study involves:

  • Participation in 8 sessions of either IPSRT or HL therapy delivered virtually
  • One baseline assessment and four follow up assessments of mood symptoms
  • Brief daily diaries about sleep and mood symptoms
  • Wearing an activity tracking watch for several two-week periods.
